Shipping Policy

At The Craft Shop (thecraftshop.net), we aim to get your beautifully crafted items to you as quickly and reliably as possible.

Processing Time

  • All orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1 business day (Monday–Friday, excluding UK public holidays).
  • Orders placed after our daily cutoff time (usually 2:00 PM GMT) or on weekends/public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • We will send you a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been handed over to Royal Mail.

Shipping Method & Delivery Times (UK Mainland)

We ship all UK orders using Royal Mail Tracked 48.

  • Service features — Full end-to-end tracking, photo proof of delivery, SMS/email notifications (where available), and compensation cover up to £75.
  • Delivery aim — Royal Mail aims to deliver within 2–3 working days from dispatch (working days are Monday–Saturday, excluding UK public holidays). Most orders arrive within this timeframe, though occasional delays can occur due to high volumes, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
  • Saturday delivery is included where Royal Mail operates.
  • No Sunday delivery is available with this service.

Important: Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail or external circumstances.

Shipping to Remote Areas

Delivery to certain remote postcodes (e.g., Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly) may take longer than the standard 2–3 working days due to Royal Mail's network. Extra delivery fees may apply in some cases — these will be shown at checkout.

Order Tracking

Once dispatched, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can track your parcel directly on the Royal Mail website: https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item

Lost, Delayed or Damaged Parcels

  • If your order is significantly delayed (more than 7 working days past the expected delivery window), please contact us so we can start an investigation with Royal Mail.
  • In the rare event of loss or damage, Royal Mail provides compensation up to £75 for Tracked 48 items. We will assist you with any claim and may offer a refund or replacement at our discretion in line with our Returns Policy.
  • We advise inspecting parcels upon arrival and reporting any visible damage within [e.g. 48 hours] of delivery.

Changes to Orders / Address

Once an order has been processed and dispatched, we are unfortunately unable to change the delivery address or amend the order. Please double-check your details at checkout.
